About IWA
Integrity Watch Afghanistan (IWA) is to date one of these few and possibly the most relevant CSO to focus on research, monitoring and advocacy on anti-corruption and pro-integrity work in Afghanistan, both in Kabul and through networks with sub-national and community based organizations in a variety of districts.IWA was founded in May 2006 with the mission to increase transparency, integrity, and accountability in Afghanistan through policy-oriented research, the development of monitoring tools and trainings for the facilitation of policy dialogue. IWA gathered a highly talented team consisting mostly of Afghan researchers with the addition of culturally literate internationals. IWA has today 16 full time staff members. In addition to promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability, IWA strives to lead by example and enact these same virtues within its own organization. IWA is part of the Network for Integrity in Reconstruction (NIR), constituted of NGOs and civil society organizations working in 8 post-conflict countries and exchanging experience and competence to reduce the chances to revert into conflict...More
